My lawn is overrun with weeds, and I’ve been trying to improve its appearance by planting yarrow, clover, and other ground covers. Unfortunately, the weeds keep popping up and making everything look untidy. I’ve wasted countless hours kneeling and bending to pull them out, and it’s taken a toll on my back and knees.
Then I discovered this little gem. I absolutely love it! Not only does it work effectively, but it’s also surprisingly enjoyable. Yes, you read that right—it’s downright therapeutic.
Once I begin pulling weeds, I lose track of time. I have to be careful because I often start with the intention of just removing one pesky weed, but then I end up grabbing more, and before I know it, my bucket is overflowing, and I have to return to my other tasks.
This tool allows you to pull multiple weeds at once, and with the push of a button, you can easily drop them into your bucket or container. The only thing to watch out for is if you have any underground structures, like gutter drains, as you might accidentally push down into them. In my case, it hasn’t been an issue, but it’s something to keep in mind.
I’m hopeful that this will continue to perform as well as it has so far. For now, I’m giving it a very enthusiastic two thumbs up!

After applying a broadleaf herbicide mixed with Roundup twice, I noticed the dandelions simply went to seed as they curled up, either dying or stubbornly hanging on. I went through various reviews on Amazon for standup diggers and ultimately chose this one. After using it for about an hour, I easily filled a 5-gallon bucket without experiencing any back pain. As mentioned in other reviews, it works best in soft, moist soil; dry soil tends to crumble, making it difficult to extract the root or “plug.” Additionally, the plug leaves a hole about an inch in diameter, which is roughly twice the size of typical aeration holes. If you’re particular about your lawn’s appearance, be mindful of this. I’m sure the holes will fill in within a few weeks, and in my ‘natural’ unmaintained yard, it’s not a concern. There’s something incredibly satisfying about twisting the tool and feeling the root snap as I eliminate these pesky weeds—it’s almost addictive. The ejector functions perfectly. I highly recommend this product and would definitely purchase it again.

Cons: If you don’t position it directly over the center of the weed (like a dandelion), it struggles to pull out the root. Even when it does, it doesn’t extract as much of the root as I had hoped. Additionally, it leaves a larger hole in the yard than I would prefer.

I just removed over 200 dandelions with this tool. I waited for two days of rain to soften the ground, which was a smart move. Not everyone thinks ahead, I guess.
This product is fantastic and unbeatable for the price. I didn’t even use the foot pedal because of the quality; it’s not made of steel or anything heavy-duty.
It’s incredibly easy to use, and the results are excellent. However, I wouldn’t recommend using it on hard, dry soil, as it might break then. It’s made of thin aluminum and plastic.
